ASUS Announces New Intel Z790, H770, and B760 Motherboards

Asus was first to get our attention with its CES 2023 motherboard line announcement, but that marketing product was so lengthy that we nearly passed out reading it. Fast readers and those with endless patience can Click Here to see it, for the rest here’s a short version:

Lower Heat Overclocking Mode

We’ve come to accept that everything we buy these days uses a flexible clock to maintain the highest possible performance within thermal and/or power threshholds, but Asus has recently one-upped Intel with its Asus MultiCore Enhancement and Asus Performance Enhancement features. For new models, Asus MultiCore Enhancement will be scaled at a lower 90° (Celsius) threshold, which should improve stability and longevity. Asus claims its 10° reduction reduces performance by 2.8% compared to a 100° threshold.

Asus Extended Memory Profile II

Not to be confused with ISO15143-3 (aka AEMP 2.0) telematics, Asus’s new system boasts the ability to boost memory up to 41.6% beyond baseline DDR5 specs. So it’s an auto-overclocking algorithm designed to work particularly well with memory that hasn’t already had its maximum capability programmed into an XMP profile.
