Thermaltake Tower 500 Drops To $120 For Big Deal Days

Cases, News

Thermaltake’s $180 Tower 500 drops to $120 at Amazon for the later’s Prime Big Deal days! If you don’t find those savings impressive, perhaps a recap of our review could help:

Thermaltake Tower 500
Pros: Cons:
  • Excellent view of internal components.
  • Supports oversized boards with up to nine slots.
  • Cheaper than competing “show build” cases.
  • Full dust filtration.
  • Excellent fit and finish.
  • PSU covers block cards over 12.8″.
  • PSU covers block 13”-deep motherboards.
  • PSU covers block pump mounting plate access.
  • Strange HDD brackets undercut “premium” image.
  • Bracket set for 2nd ‘360mm’ radiator not available.
The Verdict:
The Tower 500 gets show system builders great exposure at reduced cost…and reduced radiator space.

At ($180), we wouldn’t let the lack of additional brackets prevent us from using the Tower 500 in a build. Instead, we’d hammer Thermaltake’s support department until they offered us a set, even if it was through its own online store.
