Biwin Shows Ultra-Fast Predator GM7 NVMe 4.0 SSD At CES
Celebrating its new listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (688525), Chinese firm Biwin is leaning heavily on other Chinese manufacturers to produce low-cost SSDs with stellar performance: Its GM7 boasts reads of up to 7400 MB/s and writes of up to 6300 MB/s from a Maxio MAP1602 controller and YMTC Xtacking 3.0 3D NAND. Those stats would put it in competition with our fastest benchmarked drive, at least in those two metrics.
It’s unclear to us how exactly the new GM7 drives differ from the previously announced GM7000 series, but we’ll cut to the chase and review whatever the firm chooses to send us. Those already at CES were welcomed to visit the firm’s booth to see a demo at last night’s Showstoppers CES event.
Biwin is the exclusive storage and memory product licensee of Acer’s Predator logo.
