Samsung's Big February Storage Deals

Memory maker Samsung is making a big splash at the retail level this month with discounts across most of its web store products, so we started by looking for the model and capacity we’d recommend to most builders, the 2TB 990 with heatsink, which has been discounted to $160:

Want twice the capacity, in something you can hide behind your motherboard’s heat sink? Well, for $20 less than twice the price, the 4TB non-heatsink model’s current $300 is said to be a $100 discount. The current discount ditches the premium Samsung had been charging on 4TB models.

Of course you could get the 4TB capacity with the heat sink for $330, but you might feel a bit silly for paying $30 to get the same sink that cost only $10 on the smaller drive.
